Most parents would promise a watch, a pen, or maybe even a car to their kids as an incentive to achieve something. But former India star cricketer Virender Sehwag clearly believes in giving his two sons a much larger-than-usual incentive to break his batting records.
During his felicitation at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Virender Sehwag told cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle that he will present a Ferrari to his kids if they breach his 319-run mark.
Sehwag is the only Indian to record more than 300 runs and holds the top three spots in the highest individual Test scores by any Indian with 319, 309 and 293 runs.

Sehwag’s record, which he made in April 2008 against South Africa, is the highest score by an Indian batsman in Test cricket.
Sehwag and his family were present at a ceremony at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi where the batsman was felicitated.
Sehwag began his career at the Kotla. His only regret has been that he couldn’t beat Brian Lara 400 run record.
